
Refund Policy

At Hilltop Cuddle Pups, our goal is to ensure a positive experience for every family while protecting the well-being of our puppies. Please read our refund policy carefully before placing a deposit or completing a purchase.
🐾 Deposit Policy

Deposits are non-refundable, except as expressly and specifically set forth In the contract.

Deposit in non-refundable including—but not limited to—situations where the buyer changes their mind, has a change in circumstances, or can no longer take the puppy.

If your reserved puppy becomes unavailable due to illness, injury, or other unexpected circumstances, you will have the option to:

Receive a full refund of your deposit, or
-
Transfer your deposit to another available puppy or a future litter within two calendar years, at the breeder’s discretion.

💰 Final Payment & Cancellation

The full purchase price of your puppy is due when the puppy turns 8 weeks old, regardless of your planned pickup date.

If you fail to complete final payment by that time, your reservation may be forfeited and no refund will be issued.

Once the final payment is made, refunds are only granted under the health guarantee terms outlined below.
🩺 Health-Related Refunds
You may be eligible for a full refund of your purchase price within the first 72 hours after the puppy is released into your care if:

Your puppy is examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup,
-
The puppy is deemed “unfit for purchase” in writing by that vet, and
-
The puppy is returned to Hilltop Cuddle Pups within 7 business days of pickup.
If these conditions are met and proper documentation is provided, we will issue a full refund. The health guarantee does not cover minor illnesses, stress-related symptoms, or issues resulting from transportation.
🧬 Genetic Health Guarantee (Non-Monetary Credit)
If your puppy is diagnosed with a debilitating, testable genetic condition within 2 years of birth, you will be eligible to receive a credit toward a veterinary bills up to the purchase price of your puppy. Fees will be paid directly to your choice of veterinary clinic. (no refunds are issued in these cases). Or a credit towards another puppy in a future litter of your purchase price.

A confirmed veterinary diagnosis and genetic testing are required.

This credit is offered only if the breeder is still actively breeding at the time of the claim.
In the rare event that a covered genetic condition causes the puppy’s death, an autopsy is required to confirm cause.
🚫 Situations Where Refunds Are Not Offered
Refunds or credits will not be issued in the following situations:

Buyer fails to take the puppy to a vet within 72 hours

Buyer fails to return the puppy within 7 business days after a vet declares it unfit for purchase

Buyer chooses to return the puppy for non-health-related reasons

Puppy develops non-genetic conditions or injuries after pickup

Buyer violates terms of the signed purchase agreement
❤️ Rehoming Support
We understand that life happens. If at any point you can no longer care for your dog, please contact us. We will always help you rehome your Hilltop Cuddle Pup—but refunds will not be issued in these cases.
